Training in Lahore's summer heat: stay safe and keep going
Heat, humidity and load shedding make summer training hard. Here is how to keep your routine safely.
By Coach Daniyal Shah, Iron Fit Gym (demo)
From May to August, the heat can make even a short walk tiring. Training is still good for you, if you are careful.
Stay safe
- Drink water before, during and after training
- Add ORS or lemon with a pinch of salt after long sessions
- Train in the AC hall, not outside at noon
- Stop and sit down if you feel dizzy
Change your timing
Many members move to late evening classes in summer. Our classes run until 9pm.
