Short answer

A clinic website should answer a patient's questions before they call: which doctors are there and what their qualifications are, what you treat, the fees, the timings, where you are and how to book. It should be quick on a phone, offer one-tap call and WhatsApp, protect patient privacy, and never show claims or reviews that are not real.

Key takeaways

  • Patients look for the doctor, the timings, the fee and the location first.
  • Make booking or contacting you possible in one tap.
  • Show each doctor's qualifications and PMDC registration.
  • Never publish patient photos, stories or reviews without written consent.

1. Doctor profiles with qualifications

Give every doctor a short profile: a photo, full name, qualifications (such as MBBS or FCPS), specialty, the languages they speak and their PMDC registration number. Patients want to know who they will see, and a registration number they can check builds trust before the first visit.

Write qualifications exactly

List only qualifications the doctor actually holds, written as they appear on the certificates. If a female doctor is available, say so clearly: many patients look for this.

2. Services and treatments in plain words

List what you treat and the services you offer, with one or two plain sentences each. Write 'Child vaccination' or 'Diabetes check-up' rather than only a medical term, and add the Urdu or local name where patients use it.

Use the language your patients read

Many clinics write in English and repeat the key details, like timings and directions, in Urdu. Use whatever your patients are most comfortable with.

3. Clinic timings for each doctor

Patients ask about timings again and again. Put them on the website once and keep them current:

  • Each doctor's days and hours, morning and evening
  • Days off and public holidays
  • Ramadan and Eid timings, and the date normal timings return
  • The same timings on your website, Google Business Profile and WhatsApp profile

4. Fees, or at least starting fees

Patients want to know the consultation fee before they come. Show the fee for each doctor, or a 'from' price for common procedures, and say what it includes, for example whether a follow-up visit is free within a set time. If you work with insurance or company panels, list them.

5. Location, map and directions

  • Your full address with a well-known landmark, the building name and the floor
  • A Google Map with your exact pin, linked to your Google Business Profile
  • Parking, lift and wheelchair access details
  • A photo of your entrance and signboard, so patients recognise it

Not on Google Maps yet? Follow our step-by-step Google Maps guide.

6. One-tap call and WhatsApp buttons

Put a call button and a WhatsApp button where a thumb can reach them, on every page. Say which number to use for appointments and when it is answered.

Be clear about what WhatsApp is for

Use WhatsApp for appointments and general questions, not for diagnosis, and say so politely in your greeting message. Our WhatsApp Business checklist shows how to set one up.

7. Online booking, or at least an appointment request

Let patients book without calling: they pick a doctor, a day and a time. A good booking system alerts you about every new booking, sends the patient a confirmation and a reminder before the visit, lets patients cancel or reschedule, and lets you block holidays and leave.

Not ready for full online booking? Start with an appointment request form that reaches you on WhatsApp and email, and confirm each request yourself.

8. Fast and easy on a phone

Many patients will open your website on a phone, often on mobile data and sometimes while they are unwell. Make it easy for them:

  • Large, readable text and buttons
  • Pages that load quickly, with compressed photos
  • No pop-ups that cover the phone number
  • Timings, fee and location visible without searching for them

9. Patient privacy and honest claims

  • Never publish patient photos, names, reports or before-and-after pictures without the patient's written consent.
  • In forms, ask only for what you need to book (name, phone number, preferred time). Do not ask patients to type their medical history into a website form.
  • Do not promise results or cures. Explain what a treatment is, who it is for and what to expect.
  • Do not show reviews or testimonials that are not real. Link to your Google reviews instead.

When in doubt, check first

Medical advertising and patient data are sensitive. If you are not sure whether something is allowed, check the PMDC code of ethics or ask your professional body before you publish it.

10. Answers to common questions

A short FAQ saves your staff time on the phone and helps patients decide. Good questions to answer:

  • Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
  • What is the consultation fee, and is a follow-up included?
  • Is a female doctor available?
  • Do you offer home sample collection or home visits?
  • Which panels or insurance do you accept?
  • Where can I park?
  • What should I bring to my first visit?

Also say clearly what to do in an emergency. If your clinic does not handle emergencies, tell patients to go to the nearest hospital emergency department.

Where to start

You do not need everything on day one. Start with doctor profiles, timings, fees, location, and call and WhatsApp buttons. Add online booking and a FAQ next.

Site33 builds clinic websites on the Booking plan: doctor profiles with their own schedules, OPD timings, online appointment booking with alerts and reminder emails, and a health tips blog. See what a clinic website includes.

Common questions

Do I need online booking, or is WhatsApp enough?

WhatsApp is enough for many small clinics at the start. Online booking helps when you have several doctors, busy timings or patients who want to book after hours. You can start with WhatsApp and a request form, and add booking later.

Can I show before-and-after photos on my clinic website?

Only with the patient's written consent, with their identity hidden where possible, and without suggesting that every patient will get the same result.

Should my clinic website be in Urdu or English?

Use the language your patients are comfortable with. Many clinics use English and repeat key details, such as timings and directions, in Urdu.

Can patients book with a specific doctor?

Yes. On the Site33 Booking plan, each doctor can have their own schedule, and patients choose the doctor, the day and the time.

How much does a clinic website cost with Site33?

Clinic websites are on the Booking plan: Rs 3,999 a month plus a one-time Rs 5,000 setup fee, on a 12-month plan, taxes extra. That works out to about Rs 133 a day. It goes live in 7 working days after we get all your content.
