Smog and winter mornings: 6 tips to keep children well

Masks, warm uniforms, breakfast and what the school does on bad air days.

By Mrs. Saima Rauf (sample author) | Friday 2 October

From November, Multan's mornings get foggy and the air quality can drop. A few simple habits help children stay healthy through the season.

At home

  • A mask for the van ride and the walk to school
  • A warm sweater and socks, the winter uniform from 1 November
  • A proper breakfast and warm water bottle
  • Early nights, as mornings feel harder in winter

At school

On bad air days, assembly and PE move indoors, windows stay closed in the morning and children with asthma are watched closely. Any change to timings is shared on the notice board and on WhatsApp.
