What to send your designer before a logo project

Five things that save a week of back and forth, and help you get a logo you actually like.

Most logo projects slow down because the designer is guessing. A few minutes of preparation saves days of changes later.

1. Who buys from you. Tell me who your best customers are: their age, where they live, what they care about. A logo for college students looks different from one for wedding families.

2. Three brands you like, and why. They do not have to be in your field. Screenshots on WhatsApp are perfect.

3. Where the logo will live. A shop sign, a cake box, an Instagram display picture? This decides the shape and how much detail it can carry.

4. Colours you love and colours you hate. Some owners have strong feelings about green or pink. Better to know early.

5. Your deadline and your budget. A clear range helps me suggest the right package instead of the biggest one.

That is it. Send these five things and your first concepts will be much closer to what you have in mind.
