Our story

A street masjid that became a lifeline

Al Noor began in 2009 as a small masjid committee in Latifabad Unit 7. After Isha, a few neighbours started collecting flour and lentils for widows on the street.

Today the same committee runs a madrasa for 140 children, a monthly ration drive, clean water projects and a free medical camp, with more than a hundred volunteers (sample story).

  • Amanat: every rupee is a trust
  • Dignity: help without photos of faces
  • Openness: reports for everyone

Questions

Before you give

Still not sure? Ask on WhatsApp, the office replies the same day.

How can I donate?

Use the donation form on this page to choose Zakat, Sadaqah or a general gift, then send it by bank transfer, JazzCash, EasyPaisa or Raast QR. You can also give cash at the office and get a receipt on the spot.

Can I volunteer?

Yes. Fill in the volunteer form and pick what you like: packing rations, teaching in the homework club, helping at the medical camp or office and IT work. We invite you to the next orientation.

Do you publish reports?

Yes. The annual report, audited accounts, a separate Zakat report and a report for every ration drive are on this page, and monthly totals are shared on WhatsApp.

Is my Zakat kept separate?

Yes. Zakat goes into its own bank account and is used only for eligible families and students, as guided by our Shariah adviser. The owner confirms the exact policy here.

Will I get a receipt?

Yes. Send your transfer screenshot on WhatsApp and you get a numbered receipt within 2 working days.

Can I donate from abroad?

Yes, by bank transfer to the IBAN shown in the donation form. Overseas Pakistanis often give for a family back home: tell us on WhatsApp and we send you the report.

Can I give every month?

Yes. Choose Monthly in the donation form, or pick a package like Feed a family. We send a reminder on WhatsApp each month and you can stop any time.

How are families chosen?

Neighbours, the imam or the family itself refer them. Two volunteers visit the home, and the committee checks each case before support starts.

Is there a prayer space for women?

Yes. The sisters' hall has its own entrance on the side street and is open for all prayers and Jumma (demo detail, the owner confirms).

How do I enrol my child in the madrasa?

Send the admission enquiry on this page. The head teacher calls you to fix a short meeting. Bring the child's B-form copy and two photos.

Is my donation tax exempt?

[TAX STATUS]: the owner adds the foundation's real tax status here. Every receipt shows the registration number.
