Our story

A family home that opened its doors

Hillview started as the Abbasi family's summer house on Kashmir Point Road. In 2014 Tariq Abbasi turned its nine rooms into a guest house, so families from Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi could stay somewhere clean, warm and safe, close to Mall Road but away from its noise.

Twelve years on it is still run by the family. Sana looks after bookings, Chef Rashid runs the kitchen and Imran brings guests up from Islamabad. The idea has not changed: a spotless room, a hot breakfast and a host who picks up the phone.

    Fresh sheets and towels for every guest and bathrooms cleaned twice a day. Clean is the first thing guests notice.

    Gas heaters, electric blankets and hot water around the clock, with a generator for load-shedding.

    Desi breakfast, karahi and BBQ dinners cooked fresh by Chef Rashid. Room service until 11pm.

    Family-run, CNIC check-in, quiet hours after 11pm and a gated car park. Children feel at home here.

    Snow, traffic or a closed road? We send you live updates on WhatsApp and can pick you up from Islamabad.

How booking works

From your dates to your first cup of chai

  1. 01

    Check your dates

    Choose check-in, check-out and guests. Rooms that are free show at once, with the total for your nights.

  2. 02

    Pick a room and extras

    Add breakfast, a pick-up from Islamabad, a bonfire night or a guided day trip.

  3. 03

    We confirm on WhatsApp

    You get a booking number at once. We confirm your room on WhatsApp, usually within 30 minutes.

  4. 04

    Pay 30% advance

    By bank transfer, JazzCash or EasyPaisa. The rest is paid at check-in.

  5. 05

    Arrive and relax

    Our driver picks you up, or follow the directions we send. Chai is ready when you arrive.

Policies

Check-in, cancellation and house rules

Check-in from 2pm, check-out by 12 noon. Plain rules, written down, so there are no surprises at the desk.

Check-in and check-out

  • Check-in from 2pm, check-out by 12 noon.
  • Early check-in from 10am if the room is ready (free), or guaranteed for half a night's rate.
  • Arriving late at night? Tell us your time: the front door is staffed 24 hours.

Cancellation

  • Free cancellation up to 72 hours before check-in: your advance is refunded in full.
  • Within 72 hours: the first night is charged from the advance.
  • Peak dates (20 Dec to 5 Jan, Eid holidays): free cancellation up to 7 days before.
  • Road closed by snow or official orders? Move your dates free of charge.

House rules

  • Every adult guest shows an original CNIC or passport at check-in.
  • Children under 6 stay free on existing beds.
  • Quiet hours from 11pm to 7am. No smoking inside the rooms.
  • Sorry, no pets.
