The documents you need to rent a car in Islamabad
CNIC, licence, deposit: a simple checklist for self-drive and with-driver bookings, and for overseas Pakistanis.

With a driver: just your CNIC
When the car comes with one of our drivers, you only need your original CNIC and a WhatsApp number. We keep a copy of the CNIC with the booking and return the card to you at once.
Self-drive: four things
Self-drive means the car is in your hands, so we ask for a little more. Have these ready and the handover takes ten minutes:
- Original CNIC
- Valid driving licence (LTV), at least one year old
- A recent electricity or gas bill, or your office card
- The refundable security deposit in cash or a cheque
Overseas Pakistanis and foreign guests
Bring your passport with NICOP, or your passport with a valid visa. For self-drive, carry an international driving permit along with your home licence. The deposit can be held on a card.
Send them before you arrive
Send clear photos of the documents on WhatsApp when you book. We check them in advance, so at pick-up you only show the originals and drive away.
