MDCAT in 10 weeks: how to plan your preparation

A week-by-week plan for Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English, with how many MCQs to do each day.

By Ma'am Rabia Tariq, Bright Minds Academy (demo)

MDCAT rewards students who practise MCQs every day. Reading alone is not enough; you have to test yourself under time.

The daily routine

  • 2 hours of Biology, the biggest section
  • 1 hour each of Chemistry and Physics
  • 30 minutes of English and reasoning
  • 100 to 150 timed MCQs, then check every wrong answer

Mock tests

Take a full mock test every Sunday from week 3. Keep a notebook of every mistake and read it before the next mock.

The last two weeks

No new topics. Revise your mistake notebook, take two more mocks and keep a calm, normal sleep routine.
